IMODBO for Optimal Dynamic Reconfiguration in Active Distribution Networks

A dynamic reconfiguration method based on the improved multi-objective dung beetle optimizer (IMODBO) is proposed to reduce operating cost of distribution network with distributed generation (DG) and ensure quality power supply, while also minimizing number switch operations during reconfiguration. First, a model optimization goal active loss voltage deviation established. Secondly, K-means++ clustering algorithm used divide daily load into periods. Finally, using IMODBO algorithm, reconstructed single period. The uses chaotic tent map initialize population, which increases ergodicity initial population solves problem insufficient search space. introduces an adaptive weight factor solve easily falling locally optimal solution in early stage weak searchability later stage. Levy flight introduced perturbation strategy, variable spiral strategy improves range convergence accuracy optimizer. Reconfiguration experiments were conducted standard system generation. Multiple sets comparative carried out IEEE 33-nodes PG&E 69-nodes. results demonstrated effectiveness addressing problem.
